What to Expect

This program is designed to provide participants with an opportunity to engage in a variety of inclusive sports and creative-based activities. Activities will be a mix of group and individual formats and will be tailored to provide a positive experience for all participants. Activities will change each week and some weeks may feature a “theme” or special guest. There is no cost associated with any of the activities included in the program.

What’s New

In addition to the active games and craft activities offered in the past we are excited to provide a themed sensory room each week. Themes will vary from week to week and may include activities such as underwater adventures and indoor gardening. Additionally, in an effort to provide a more suitable location for our athletes, the program will run exclusively on the first floor of the College, with the arts, sports and sensory activities taking place in three separate, quieter and closely located rooms.  Coaches will continue to wait at the front door for their athlete at the start of the program each week and will escort parents and athletes to the first floor for program check-in area (at room 1H17).

Move for Inclusion Coaches

Participants will be matched with a “coach” who will provide support and encouragement throughout the 5-week program. Move for Inclusion Coaches are second year students from Loyalist College’s Recreation & Leisure Services, Fitness & Health Promotion and Occupational Therapist & Physiotherapist Assistant diploma programs. The program will be overseen by Nick Foley, founder of the Move for Inclusion organization and Alicia Mutton, faculty member at Loyalist College.
